Penha da França is a wonderfully central neighbourhood in Lisbon, that combines tradition and the energy of this modern, revitalised capital. It retains a local feel, it has beautiful, typical Lisboetan street scenes, with the much loved azulejo covered buildings and the full colour palette of this gorgeous city.

This is an authentic neighbourhood that is fast updating its’ identity, as more and more people move into the area from other more touristic areas. Many artists are making their homes here and the area shows this in its’ iconic street art and flourishing local stores. More and more new restaurants and wine bars open weekly, adding more choice alongside the fantastic family run tascas and cafés.

This building is located right next to Graça and with Anjos nearby, this area is fast becoming one of the better places to be in Lisbon, with beautiful open spaces in the daytime and ever growing choices on the doorstep for night time adventures if you want a drink, to dine, or a dance.

Miradouros within a ten minute walk include Miradouro de Penha de França itself, Monte de Agudo, Miradouro de Graça and of course the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte.

Metro stations are a 15 minute walk, (Intendente & Anjos) the Tram 28 runs past at Sapadores, plus multiple bus routes on the Avenida. The parking in the neighbourhood is much easier than others thankfully, and by car you are a short drive to Beato, Marvila, Parque das Nações and the Ponte Vasco da Gama. In the other direction you are close to Campo Pequena and Campo Grande for routes south, west and north. The airport is less than 15 minutes drive, making leaving or even better, coming home, simple, quick and without stress.
